The Oysterbeds, Coffin Bay, South Australia
Casual coastal dining | Fresh local and seasonal produce
Relaxed dining
Food inspired by travel and the good life
What does a nomadic foodie do when it’s time to settle down? Open up a restaurant of course! After many years of travelling and experiencing food and cultures around the globe, Marion Trethewey, together with her husband David, opened the popular Penguin Stop Café on Kangaroo Island. Five years on, the local produce and
scenery of South Australia’s pristine West Coast lured them to a new location
and a new venture…
The Oysterbeds in Coffin Bay combines relaxed coastal dining with Marion’s ever-changing menu. One day you might be tempting your tastebuds
with baked feta with citrus salad, the next with exquisite kingfish sashimi or a mustard-crusted rack of locally farmed Tumby Bay lamb.
And there are fabulous Australian and International wines to also enjoy.
So why not stop in to ‘the good food house’ as it’s known locally
and discover the food for yourself!
Currently for Evening restaurant dining we open on Friday and Saturdays,
groups by arrangement on other evenings
All Day cafe is open from 10 am Wednesday until Sunday
